Emergency Assistance to the Public

Summary
This leaflet sets out the policy of Scottish Borders Council in relation to the extent of short term assistance to be provided to householders and businesses to avert or alleviate the effects of flooding or other emergencies as allowed by the provisions of Section 84 of the Local Government Scotland Act 1973.
Occasionally PDF Files do not display correctly.
At some point between downloading the file, your browser opening Adobe Reader, and then displaying the file - it has become
corrupted.
Trying to re-open the PDF does not seem to help.
The following suggestions should help:
- clear your cache (find out how)
or - right click on the file, choose 'save target as' and save the pdf to your desktop. Double click the file to open it
If you are still having problems please contact us and include
- the name of the file
- the link (url) to the file
It also helps to make sure that you have the lastest versions of:
- adobe reader
- your browser software (Safari, FireFox or Internet Explorer)
