Corporate Communications

Communications and Public Relations

The Corporate Communications team is based in the Chief Executive's Department and is responsible for the management and development of all aspects of the Council's internal and external communications strategy.

The introduction of the strategy is one of the goals in the Council's current Corporate Plan.

The Council aims to:

  • listen to all of its stakeholders (residents, communities, customers, partners and employees)
  • understand fully what is being said
  • respond in the right way, at the right time

Corporate Communications supports the Council's approach to communications by :

  • managing and developing the way the Council communicates with residents, communities, customers, partners and employees
  • managing media and public relations locally and nationally - news releases
  • managing the Council's presence on the worldwide web and developing content for this website and the internal Intranet

SBConnect

SBConnect is the Council's newspaper for Borders residents. There are three editions every year in Spring, Summer and Winter.
