Supporting the Scottish Borders shape the European Regional and Rural Policy.
The work of the Business Improvement Unit enables the Scottish Borders to be at the forefront of influencing the European Regional and Rural Policy agenda within Scotland. This is being achieved by :
- advising and supporting the work of the South of Scotland Alliance
- supporting at all levels the work of the South of Scotland Objective 2 Partnership
- close working with the Scottish Executive and the European Commission
- effective liaison with local MSPs and MPs, and the Scottish MEPs
- supporting the work of the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities European Board
